My name is Stephanie.  I am making these bracelets to support my husband's US Army Reserve Unit located in Arizona.  For every bracelet sold, I am donating $2 to the unit.

History of project

I came up with the idea to make these bracelets while my husband was on his first deployment to Afghanistan.  It was a way to keep my hands busy while my mind was on him.  I tried finding this type of bracelet for myself to show my support while he was away, but on a military budget I couldn't afford one.  I decided to learn how to make it myself.  Once I had taken a few classes, I decided I wanted to make more for the friends, family, and those who just wanted to support our troops but at a price everyone could afford.  I have been trying to raise money for the unit and decided that this was a wonderful oppurtunity to do so.
